Nikon Presents: Creative Lighting Systems

The Nikon Creative Lighting System is a well-respected answer to the needs of the industry, offering accuracy, flexibility and lighting possibilities that are unavailable with other equipment. The advantages are best experienced through the Advanced Wireless Lighting System which allows precise control of remote flash units, adding more depth and quality to your images. Using the high-precision i-TTL flash control with its intuitive operations, supplementary lighting can be as versatile and comprehensive as the situation demands.

“Just me, my camera and never enough time”

Having received his first camera for his 16th birthday, Paul has been trying to make pictures for more than 30 years. His first paying job as a photographer was right out of high school when he was a “staffer” for a sports magazine. There he honed his skills in the photo journalist and studio aspects of the business.

He spent several years printing in a Professional B&W lab before selling cameras in a retail store. Both jobs were a gold mine for learning the gear and techniques that make better images. After 7 years as a camera store “geek”, he joined Nikon in 1994.

His current job at Nikon involves helping people learn to use their cameras better. (he also help keep some of the major retailers around the country up to date with the latest Nikon cameras and tech.) Part of his job requirements is making pictures with all the current Nikon gear. So, anytime he is awake, he probably has a camera in his hand and am trying to learn another new technique.

Photography has been a non-stop hobby for the past 30+ years…
it has also been his job, in one form or another, for most of that time.”

Paul has held the position of Nikon’s National Training Specialist for the past twelve years.
